Michelle Philo began her career in film production in the UK when
award-winning producer David Heyman hired her to assist him on the Harry Potter films, allowing her an unparalleled insight into the makings of one of the world's most successful and popular film franchises.

With a passion for all things costume and fashion, Michelle relished the opportunity to move into the costume department and cut her teeth on the fourth instalment, Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire,

training on the job and learning from a team of skilled and experienced costume professionals over several years.

With a natural ability to tell a story through costume, Michelle went on to work with some of the world's most talented directors, actors and crew across an array of multi-media projects, not to mention global blockbuster films such as James Bond: Skyfall and Mission: Impossible - Fallout

as well as cult films such as In Bruge and Children of Men

Whether working on stills, commercials, fashion projects, short or feature-length films, Michelle relishes the art of collaboration and brings a meticulous eye to the entire process from initial research and mood-boarding, costume fittings, team and budget management, right through to the finished character.

Now back in her native Melbourne since 2017, Michelle brings her breadth of costume experience to Australia and continues to thrive on creating a visual narrative and being part of the storytelling process through her costumes and styling.
